Charge Surveys cameras or ATC’s (Automatic Traffic Counters) can be deployed for a variety of reasons, mainly with the purpose of recording traffic flow volumes and understanding current traffic conditions.
The equipment is not used to enforce any traffic laws and is only installed on a short term basis.
